insulin administration, and hemoglobin A1c levels were used for calculation of the DiaREM score. To evaluate the discriminative ability of DiaREM in distinguishing between patients who experienced remission and those who did not, the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (AUC) was employed. Results: Among the 47 patients average baseline A1c was 7.4, 10.6% required insulin, and 40.4% amount used diabetes medication. At 1-year post-ESG 65.9% of patients experienced remission. The ability of the DiaREM score to detect diabetes resolution for ESG patients had a sensitivity ofwas 83.87%, specificity of 56.25%, and accuracy of 74.47%. The AUC was 0.777 (95% CI 0.616-0.938). Conclusion: In our study, the DiaREM score demonstrated a significant and definitive predictive value for diabetes remission after ESG.
